The Implementors are an evil race of other-planar 'gods', who
dimensionally travel to other worlds to cause havok.  They like dark, dingy
places, and this maze is the perfect locale for them.  You've heard that the
most powerful and horrifying of these creature have the ability to modify or
even create the world around them, and you shudder to think about dealing
with something like that.
