This quest is called 'Bread and Circuses', for Adventurers levels 45 to 90.
Description of Bread and Circuses:
There is at present, as you may already know, a rivalry between our fighters
guild and our cavaliers guild. They are both led by decidedly pig-headed
men men whose braggadocio is surpassed only by their obstinacy. Each claims
that his institution is superior. This would not in fact be a problem were
it not for the fact that students training with the opposing guilds have
engaged in open combat in defense of the reputations of their respective
institutions in the middle of busy thoroughfares, putting the I am therefore
arranging to hold a gladiatorial contest and inviting any and all to
participate. However, I want to stress particularly to the two guilds that
this will be an excellent opportunity for them to prove their mettle. Go
and inform representatives of the guilds of these plans in my stead. Then I
would ask you to inspect our amphitheatre. Make sure it is large enough to
accommodate a sizeable number of participants and also make sure it is in
good repair. We will also need to acquire standardized weapons for the
participants to use, possibly in Templeton as their armaments are of a
particularly fine quality. While you are in Templeton deliver word of this
tournament to a few of the local barkeeps in order that they should spread
this news as far afield as possible.
Upon successful completion of this quest you can receive up
to 55 quest points, 4 practice points, 21500 experience points, and 10000 gold pieces.
