Description of Welcome To The Proving Grounds:
A close friend of mine, who I met in seminary, journeyed with me to Irda
decades ago to demonstrate our faith. As our views and practices developed,
we kept in touch. He ended up building a home near the entrance of an
enormous cave, to practice his meditation, and I ended up atop my column.
Recently, the hellbent demons and the Baron's beasts have made our
correspondence schedule less reliable, and I worry that my friend is in ill
health. Please check up on him for me, and say hello to him for me.

I hope you are a kindred spirit, and that he will embrace you as easily as
he did me, for he really is a kind fellow. He will know that I sent you,
and surely welcome you into his home.
