This quest is called 'Pressing Matters of Diplomacy', for Adventurers levels
10 to
30.
Description of Pressing Matters of Diplomacy:
Young adventurer, you are just the sort of creative, trustworthy person
in whom I can confide a very important mission. As you know, royal matters
leave me constantly occupied with managing my estates, the needs of my
servants and also regional diplomacy. This is where you come in. The young
daughter of Lord Diocletian is celebrating her sixth birthday. Courtly
etiquette requires that I send her a gift. First, I want to you find Garan,
the wandering minstrel and ask his opinion on the best instrument for the
young girl. Next, I want you to travel to the music shop and purchase said
musical item. Did I mention how busy I am! Please bring me a quill,
parchment, and a stamp so I can mail the item to Diocletian. Do not worry.
I will more than handsomely reward you with a large reimbursement for any
expenses incurred on behalf of the royal exchequer. Lean closer, intrepid
adventurer. It seems that a certain guild member has been insulting the
royal family of Diocletian. This is exactly the sort of intolerable conduct
that not only ruins my fair name but also might cause a diplomatic crisis!
Seek out and punish the guild member, and you will have my eternal thanks.
