Ginkgo trees clash with tall elms, a curious juxtaposition of very
different trees on the edge of the forest.  Fraou forest plays host to
innumerable trees and vastly different species.  This particular scene, at
the edge of the forest, technically a part of Xaventry as it grows within
its city walls, serves as a microcosm for the forest as a whole.  Here there
is a chiaroscuro, the place where shadows and light meet, where redwoods and
willows grow, where a witch offers to help you.
