You now stand in the far corner of the courtroom, right next to the
judges desk to the east.  This is where the baliff of the court stands
during a trial.  His job is to make sure everything runs smoothly during a
trial so that it is carried out swiftly and justly.  Judge Sherwood's
private study chambers is behind a curtain to the north.
