This is the place the defendant stands in all of the trials of this
courtroom.  There is a table here and a row of chairs for any witnesses that
are needed on the behalf of the defendant.  The judge's desk is just in
front of this podium and it is positioned so that the judge can clearly
watch all the gestures and arguments a defendant may make.
