This room is so dark that your light almost flickers and goes out as the
darkness absorbs the light.  The shadows the illumination creates seem to
dance and flicker independent of the light.  The black walls, floor, and
ceiling seem to radiate their unnatural chill.  The room has a damp and
musty smell to it, and mold and fungi thrive on the walls.  The room is
littered with items that could be considered useful or valuable, to
assassins and to others as well.  There are no apparent exits, although a
ladder is attached to the ceiling.
The shadows seem to gather and form a mist in the far corner.
