The care put into this area is in deep contrast to the brambley north
passage.  The overgrown path turns less wild here as it appears someone has
begun to prune the brush.  Many small rocks have been swept along the sides
of the trail and placed into neat piles.  Crossing the vague avenue in a
frenzied fashion are scores of small animal tracks leading south.  The
playful splash of the lake to the west, birds overhead and snoring to the
southeast fill the still forest with life.  
A slow moving monkey clings to the tree with sharp claws.
