A thick stretch of fertile greenery veils its shadowy recesses above a
brown, thorny lace.  The darkness beyond is so deep as to conceal any sense
of civilization.  Every few meters a beam of gold streaks through the tree
line offering a refuge from the isolation.  Burrs claw at clothing from the
bramble bushes that grow wild over the forest path and small rocks litter
its length.
