A large trough, filled with water, is fastened to the wooden gate on the
south side of the stall.  Piles of golden brown hay are set along the walls
of the stall, on top of the matted floor, most likely for insulation rather
than food.  Horse manure can be smelled in the distance but none can be seen
on the floor of this stall.  A small tin bucket lies forgotten in the pile
of hay.
