  Standing inside a cavernous room within a living tree, you are humbled by
the age of this magnificent plant.  The smell of the wood and sap is
soothing, and you can almost feel life pulsing through the very air in the
room.  There is a spiral staircase leading up, and a shop is down the ladder
to the east.  
     An oaken chess-board is carved directly onto an ancient stump.
