The river flows leisurely towards the northeast corner of the city. 
Along the steep banks of the river are all sorts of reed-like plants.  As
you fight off the musty smell coming from the muddy banks, you notice there
are many little creatures moving beneath you.  To the northeast is the
western edge of the temple, where the river passes beneath the wall.  It
might be a good idea to take a deep breath here.
