A fat iron stove crouches here at the far end of the Mess Hall, its heat
spreading through the room.  While warmth from the kitchen keeps the front
of the hall comfortable, the rest of this long room would be unbearable
without the extra heat.  
     A long trestle table is lined with benches.
A hungry lumberjack is seated here enjoying a hearty meal.
