As you enter the passage, the room brightens suddenly, as if it were
alive.  A pulsating hum can be heard from the walls.  Ahead, a red glow can
be seen far in the distance.  A radiant heat can be felt from the small
draft coming from the south.  
  You can see the faint red outline of something moving around the area.
    You sense a hidden life form in the area.
A brown spider begins attacking you!
A brown spider has several minor wounds and bruises.
