Worn paths from the constant use by the residents of Vir have been made
in the floor of this tunnel.  As a main thoroughfare, it has been maintained
well as the tunnel encircles the majority of the city.  Large torches are
ensconced upon the walls to provide much needed lighting for those
traveling this way.
