The contrast between the plush carpets and the stone walls is enough to
take one's breath away.  Ornate carvings of dracons in battle and in other
scenes have been set into the walls of the tunnel that serves as a hallway
through the Queen's Fortress.  This wide hall is well lit by the glowing
globes affixed to the iron torchiers set into the walls.  The floor has been
covered with a handwoven runner made of scarlet wool flecked with gold. 
Echoes of conversation drift in from the south, while the warm draft
continues to flow in from the north.
