The wooden planks of this stormwrecked pier underfoot complain mightily
as they shift dangerously under your weight.  Being held together by
memories of bygone days, it looks as if the pier will collapse at any
moment.  Be careful where you step, many of the planks look as if they will
give way rather than hold your weight.
