The intersection itself is a beautifully decorated section of the
normally drab hallways.  Various rare pottery pieces and objects stand on
pedestals around the area.  There are several rare paintings depicting old
wars long since fought hanging along the walls.  To your north you spot a
white marble stairwell that ascends up into the upper echelons of the
castle.
