The smell of wood here is strong, but not unpleasant, with a touch of
mildew.  There are small torches on the wall covered in wire mesh,
preventing the ship going up in flames.  The floor has stains from spilt
grog and other spirits, and a faint scent of orcish beer permeates the air. 
To the north you can make out the crews mess hall with tables and small
gatherings of crewmen.  The lower deck continues to the east and west, with
a hatch here leading back up to the main deck and a door leading south to
the cargo hold.
