There is a rather unpleasant smell in this room and you see rats
scurrying about with bits of rotting food.  There is a rather unkept hall
off to the east, it seems to lead to some sort of dumping area.  The hall
that runs north and south is tidy and neat with little globes of light
floating near the ceiling so that you can see.  
A castle guard tries to keep alert during his long shift.
