Trash is strewn out over the alley with no care for sanitation.  Rats
scurry around fighting for small scraps of food.  As you carefully walk
around some old bits of horse hoof, you plant your foot directly into a pile
of something soft, warm and very smelly.  This makes you wonder if there is
anything back here worth going through this stinking mess to see.
