The stairway continues, leading you into the center of a large lava pool
which sourrounds you on all sides.  Several lava mephits play and frolic in
the pool of lava, paying you no attention.  Occasionally one absorbs a great
amount of molten rock causing it to split and form another, eternally
replenishing the commune.  To the northeast the stairs lead upwards to a
large bonfire.  To the southwest, the downward spiral takes you into a
fenced in kennel.
