A large enchanted fence surrounds part of this room, enclosing you in it.
You begin to wonder what the fence was trying to keep out, when you notice
what the fence keeps insede.  Several hellhounds have broken through their
chains and begin to rush you.  From a distance they looked rather small, but
the closer they get, the larger they seem.  To the southeast the stairs have
taken a steeper slope, leading to a seemingly deserted plain.  The passage
to the northeast leads to a pool of lava.
