Several old pieces of equipment that have long since rusted lie around
your feet.  Surprisingly enough, you notice the forge date on one of the
items and notice that it is only a month or so old.  A nearly inaudible
crunching sound behind you startles you, causing you to jump to your feet. 
A group of rust monsters sit around and feed on an unfortunate adventurer. 
obvious routes of escape seem to be a closed gate on the way up the stairs
to the southwest, and downwards, to the northeast, a firey passage.  

A large insectoid creature covered in rust is making a mess of the room.
