Apparantly this guardpost was abandoned quite a while ago, and has become
the hibernating spot for a few huge bears.  You almost failed to notice
them, as white fur blends in superbly with the surrounding walls.  On the
path to the southeast continuing down the stairs several loud roars and
clanging can be heard, and to the northeast, continuing upwards, it sounds
like several humanoid figures shuffling around and speaking in a tongue
foreign to you.  It is a wonder all this noise tends to not wake the
sleeping giants.  

There is a huge white bear sleeping in the corner.
