You are standing behind the massive face of the clock tower, controlled
by the intricate and gigantic machinery directly behind you.  Reversed
Arabic numerals loom ominously before you, the glowing face dimly lit from
the other side by the light of the town.  This clock is unusual in that it
has a constantly sweeping second hand, the wonder of the clockmaking world,
wonderous due to the fact that no magic was used to create or maintain the
delicate machinery, yet it still retains (almost) perfect time.  
     A massive, ancient iron bell hangs from a thick chain.
