Western Branch of the Atrium - - - (-------------------------------------------------) W <---(M)---> E - - - The colored tiles below you are fairly elaborate designs, tilework at its most brilliant. Beautifully adjusted to the shape of the room, the design of the spiraling tendrils is at once rich and subtle, enveloping the walls to your north and south. In contrast to the stern reliefs found on the walls that encase the palace, the floor design here enhances the atrium without obscuring it. One of the many watchtowers is to your south, which afford the emperors a sense of security in the most insecure of times. The atrium branch continues to your east and west. A small pool of blood has been spilt here. A sneaky slave trader is here looking for potential buyers.
