Candles set in sconces that are attached to the walls provide all of the
light that there is in the hallway.  There is a modest carpet running down
the center of the hallway, with wooden floor peaking out at the sides.  The
rooms along the west side of the hallway are reserved for visiting
dignitaries and their servants, while the rooms to the east are for the
commoners.
