Room: East Avenue
This room is within Palace of Diocletian.
East Avenue - N - (-------------------------------------------------) W <---(M)---> - - S - The dominating feature to your west is the Callixtus Hall. Smooth shafts and different type capitals, bud shaped and bell shaped, form the columns of the hypostyle structure. Like the atrium, the avenue is an equally long rectilinear plan, extending across the exterior portion of the palace. Roughly 16 feet wide and composed of carefully cut and regularly shaped blocks of stone, the pathway allows pedestrian traffic to flow north and south. The tall palace walls enclose the east portion of avenue. A small diseased gray rat runs past your leg. You can see the faint red outline of something moving around the area.
