This room is covered in paper and cloth scrolls, lying on desks, chairs,
cabinets, shelves, and all over the floor.  The only spot in the whole room
that does not have a parchment on it is a small table, filled with an array
of candles, glowing brightly.  There are many shelves here, which contain a
vast assortment of old and worn books.  There is a ladder against the far
south wall, leading up to a small door, and there is a wooden door to the
north.
