This part of the deck feels particularly unstable and makes some very
disturbing noises as you cross it.  Crates, boxes and pallets litter the
foredeck; baskets of decaying foodstuffs sit crowded by items of cargo
hastily shoved in random containers.  The crew clearly take what they need
when they need it.  The freight looks to contain standard, common goods. 
The markings on these particular crates indicate that they hold a few reels
of cotton and other threads.  
     An opened box of cargo has been deposited here.
     A pallet has been tossed onto the deck.
A snail very slowly creeps along here.
A crab scuttles about sideways looking for food.
