  The wind makes it very difficult to stand upright here.  The forecastle
looks highly likely to give in and collapse in on itself at any moment.  It
is surprising that the cabin is at all intact after the collision the Wench
had with the shore.  The splintered prow stretches forward proudly, the tip
digging into the ground.  The Wench is a converted military vessel and as
such has no figurehead.
