With great care, you peer over the side of the Wench.  The damage is hard
to see from this part of the ship.  Below you water laps gently at the stern
and leaves limpets and other sea creatures in its wake.  From here you can
read the words 'The Feisty Wench', except, on closer inspection, there seems
to be another word barely visible underneath the bold title of the ship. 
Perhaps a previous name has been painted over?  
A crab scuttles about sideways looking for food.
A member of the crew of the Wench staggers around here.
