You are standing on a precariously narrow ledge on the third floor of
Focault's residence.  Stone gargoyles are carved into the stonework above
your head, and you begin to feel rather nervous as their grins seem to turn
into leers even as you watch.  A dirty window opens south into a brightly
lit hallway, and the ledge continues to the west and east.
