This is a passageway leading deeper into the Ghering Caverns.  The walls
here are mostly lichen-covered stone with patches of earth.  The floor is
stone, with some fallen rock scattered here and there.  The lichen on the
walls serves to light your way.  There are cave-dwelling animals scurrying
about.  You hear more animal noises in this area now than you did earlier. 
What could be the cause?  The passage runs north and south.
