This is a passageway leading deeper into the Ghering Caverns.  The walls
here are mostly lichen-covered stone with patches of earth.  The floor is
stone, with some fallen rock scattered here and there.  The lichen on the
walls serves to light your way.  There are cave-dwelling animals scurrying
about.  The passages are dim and musty in this area, but appear to be pretty
well traveled.  You wonder if that traveling is done by humans or animals. 
The caverns run both north and south.  
An apprentice mage wanders about, peering at rocks and moss.
