Bridge Over the Pit                                    -      N      -

A narrow stone walkway crosses the width of the pit.  Walking across it
seems to be the only way to the other side.  The heat radiating from either
side is almost unbearable.  Looking over the edge, the intense light from
the molten earth flowing beneath is almost blinding.  It's probably best to
keep moving.
