This is a large circular room fashioned of gray stones, carefully placed
in a pattern pleasing to the eye.  The stones are smooth and reflect the
ambient light coming from somewhere much further up in the tower.  A narrow
staircase with no railing winds its way around the edges of the room,
curving up like a corkscrew to the top of the tower.  An archway opens east
into an illuminated hallway.
