You are walking along a path made of interlocking sandstone, worn and
patched in several places.  The stones crumble slightly under your feet as
blocks of the retreat's northern wall rise directly in front of you to the
north.  The walkway continues around the western corner of the hotel, and
back along east to the portico.  A tall spiked iron fence blocks your
passage south and west.
