Just ahead is peace and light, an escape from this terrible darkness and
the horrors that come with the dark.  The path here is much more worn, and
the space between the hedges increases.  The strange howls can be heard
behind you, coming from the darkness.  The feel of a cold breath whisps past
your bared neck.  
A thorny, red-veined vine twines its way around your feet.
