There are gate on three sides of this intersection, each with its own
strange noises.  To the south there is a strange red glow, and the sound of
water.  To the east and west, the howls of pain and terror can be heard. 
There are large loose rocks on the ceiling, as the braces have started to
rot away.  
A large stalactite is dislodged from the ceiling, narrowly missing you!
