This corner of the Angry Whale is where the seediest characters hang out.
Away from the band, and away from the barman, they are left to their own
dark devices, like planning devious plots.  This corner of the bar has no
windows, and is therefore smoky and dark.  Shattered glass and spilled beer
cover the floor, evidence of unruly patrons.  
     The long bar, full of empty seats, covers the south wall.
A seedy bosun's mate drinks at the bar. 
A depressed ship cook looks into his glass at the bar.
A gunner sits at the bar, enjoying his time ashore.
