Over the years the lose gravel along this path has been pounded into a
solid freckled powder by the travel of thousands of feet.  Large boulders
line the trail to either side.  Each is painted with images of mighty
sailors slaying fiendish fish demons.  High above a ring of dark clouds
round the peak of the ice-bearing geyser that dominates the landscape. 
Below the small fishing village looks not unlike a miniature model of tribal
life.
