Mighty stalactites of ice hang dangerously overhead like huge white
teeth.  An ageless melt of water runs down their length and plummets off the
pointy incisors into the placid clear pool below causing a cacophony of
minutes splashes.  A small dam of sheer ice holds the lukewarm water back
from spilling out towards the mouth of the fissure to the east.  The air is
pure, untouched by the stench of life outside; its smell is completely
invigorating.
