Normally the upper aftcastle would have provided an amazing view of the
ocean, being nearly thirty feet above the water line, even with a full load.
Only walls of sheer ice and a cold stony prison are visible, now that the
Questor has been trapped in its rocky cell.  The entire surface of the ship
is covered in a slippery carapace of frozen sea water and the only sounds
that slip through the cave are the high pitched whistles of arctic wind.
