Just over a small ridge short fan leaf palms can be seen growing wild. 
They cluster about in a great circle around a wall of rusted out mechanical
birds of prey.  The strange metallic avians appear to have fallen from the
sky atop one another and now lay broken in a pile of twisted iron.  The
skeleton of a human in alien garb resides behind a glassy cycloptic eye of
one of these huge golems.  Thick vines have laid claim to the scrap heap by
entwining themselves about the grimacing olive drab raptors.
