The bodies of the dead grow noticeably in number as the soft moist ground
gives way to bony shale.  Each step initiates a loud crunch as the skeletal
remains of fish both small and large burst apart.  More abandoned ships
litter the horizon in such a state of erosion that venturing inside would be
fatal should one be found that was intact enough for exploration.  The
sounds of marine life croak their last bit of life, falling silent and
joining the rank smell of decay.
