This storage bay was once a large passage to the cargo hold below.  The
now converted storehouse is stacked floor to ceiling with stout coils of
coarse brown rope.  Eerily, these hemp-spun snakes jump to life in the
visual periphery but revert under direct scrutiny.  A foul smell of decay
wafts up from the half hidden stairs to the north.
