The Collapsed Gates of Inalandia                       NW     -      -

Two once mighty gates have been ripped aside and lay half buried in lava
rock.  This was once the very entrance to the city but is now sealed shut by
the side of the volcano that has risen before it.  Homeless merfolk stare
with sunken eyes as though they wait for the gate to magically open once
more freeing them to swim to distant shores.  The wall of stone stretches
from the seafloor to the invisible dome that protects the city from the
harsh ocean currents above.  
     Two sturdy ivory gates stand aside a shimmering portal.
